There are times that I dream of lasting peace in this world. There would be no poverty and no hunger and no war. Real world peace - not the world peace we talk about in beauty pageants! Wouldn't  be it nice to live without animosity, apathy, power struggles and greed?

This dream is summed up in the famous song of John Lennon "Imagine", part of which was performed by David Archuleta, a 17-year old talent in this week's Top 20 performance of American Idol. On why he chose this particular verse instead of the more popular first verse, he said this is more relevant and more meaningful. Very well said!

"Imagine no possessions

No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one

His own unique rendtition of this iconic song was lauded by the judges. Simon Cowell said that he is the one to beat, and there are 19 other contestants who are feeling miserable right now.
